Just as everything God created is eternal, so is our soul. What are you doing today to ensure an eternal future at peace with God?
The truth that few admit is this…
A truth that no one wants to admit is that deep down, human beings do not want God to exist. Because they don’t want to be ordered, they don’t want to obey or have anyone above them to say how they must live.
In fact, human beings would like to be God but not to have a god above them. This is the most basic human condition, our fallen condition. The Word shows this precisely in Ezekiel 8:12:
“Then He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say, ‘The LORD does not see us, the LORD has forsaken the land.”
When humans do not want to submit to the true and only God, they create a god for themselves. A god who will accept them as they are. A god who will satisfy their tastes and whims.
Then, these elders painted images of idols inside the temple chambers and said to each other: ‘The Lord does not see us; the Lord has already abandoned the Earth a long time ago. We are here alone, and we do what we see fit’. This was the stance of those people, supposedly those who should guide people.
Humans make a mess, mess up the Earth, do everything that God tells them not to do, cause all kinds of suffering in this world and then turn to God and say: ‘You see, look what you did, look at the result of the Earth that the Lord created, it’s the Lord’s fault’. I mean, humans blame God for what they do.
You have a decision to make:
If someone admits that God exists, then there is a Creator, someone superior to us, and, logically, to whom we should be accountable. So we’d better start living according to His laws. Because if we don’t live in agreement when we go through this judgment, we will be found at fault and on the wrong side of this final judgment.
Therefore, if I admit all this is true, I have a decision to make. Either I will follow His laws, as He determined—I am not God, and I can’t create gods for myself—or I can choose to ignore, even knowing that He exists, and continue living in my own way, at my own risk.
Let’s stop blaming God for the mess we made and the problems we got into and take responsibility. That’s fairer, clearer, and more honest. And if you want to admit that He really exists, start living according to His Word because otherwise, your faith is foolish.
