ALERT! TIMES OF INCREASING DECEPTION

We live in times where deception increasingly disguises itself as truth. False christs (saviours), false prophets, and even “good intentions” can deceive even the elect.

We live in days of growing deception—and that’s prophetic. Since the Garden of Eden, when the serpent deceived Eve, lies have settled in humanity. The devil, the father of lies, continues to sow deception among men, and his children walk the same paths.

Deception has always existed and will continue to exist.

However, the difference today is that deception has intensified. We are approaching the end of time, and the Bible warns us about this scenario. See what Jesus said:

“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:24)

“False christs” here does not only mean those who declare themselves Jesus, but false saviours—leaders, ideas, and ideologies that promise redemption but lead to deception.

False prophets impress and deceive.

These false prophets will speak in the name of lies and impress with signs and captivating speeches. Their deception will be so convincing that even the elect can be confused.

Just look at recent cases, such as the mental health crisis involving former US President Joe Biden. Reports indicate that he barely remembered crucial aspects of his life and the government. Who was ruling if he was just a puppet in the most powerful position in the world? This type of manipulation reveals how much deception is present, not only in politics but also in faith.

Deception is also in the Christian environment.

Jesus warned that false prophets would speak in the name of God. They use the Bible and religious speech to deceive, leading many to lower their guard. Naive people believe that just because someone preaches with a Bible in their hand, it is from God.

One of the greatest dangers is outsourcing one’s faith. Many give their salvation to third parties without seeking a direct relationship with the Scriptures.

Value the Word of God.

Therefore, you must have direct contact with the Word to avoid being deceived. Saying “I don’t understand the Bible” is no excuse—God gives understanding to those who seek Him. True spiritual leaders always direct you to the Bible; they never try to be mediators between you and God.

Be suspicious of those who try to control the faith of others and put themselves as an exclusive channel of access to God. This is characteristic of deceivers, who seek followers, not the salvation of souls.

How to identify a deceiver?

First, the answer begins with the Holy Spirit. He testifies in you when something is wrong. In addition to having Him, Jesus guides us to be harmless as doves but wise as serpents (Matthew 10:16). In other words, we are constantly monitored.

A clear sign from the deceiver: he only says what you want to hear.

• Avoid confrontation,

• Don’t talk about sin,

• He doesn’t correct,

• Just massages the ego,

• Praises,

• Flattery,

• Entertains,

• He doesn’t want to free you with the truth—he just wants your audience.

Spiritual immaturity facilitates deception.

See Paul’s alert:

“That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting.” (Ephesians 4:14)

Don’t be immature in faith. Don’t assume that anyone who talks about God is from God. Evaluate life, intentions, and doctrine based on the Bible.

Conclusion: watch, discern, and remain in the Truth.

We live in the end times. Fakes are everywhere, and with social networks, they come to you. Have discernment. Don’t outsource your faith. Read the Word. Pray for discernment. And, above all, don’t exchange the truth that confronts you for words that only please.
