At 13, one UTF member says she struggled to feel comfortable in her own skin, caught between wanting to fit in and not knowing who she really was.
She credits weekly UTF meetings with giving her a place to ask hard questions without judgment, and a faith she now calls her own rather than her parents’.
“I used to just go along with whatever the group wanted,” she says. “Now I know what I actually believe.”
