Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honest, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
The vigilance of the Christian is constant, both day and night. To walk in the Spirit is to subdue the flesh in order to think on the things above. It is to live in the practice of truth, honesty, justice, and purity.
Everything that is lovely should occupy the mind of the righteous, with thoughts that identify him as a child of God.
