Love is not a feeling…
Today’s selfie to capture what I understand as love. It was God who taught me.
Loving God is trusting in Him.
It’s obeying His Word, prioritizing His will, keeping yourself daily for His return.
Love is not a feeling.
It’s a decision. It’s surrender. It’s reverence.
It’s more—much more.
Maybe you’re thinking:
“But what about me? How can I love myself if I have to give myself up for God?”
But think with me:
Isn’t that what you’ve already been doing?
Loving yourself so much that you end up caring too much about what others think of you.
Following your impulses to chase things that never truly fulfill you?
In the end, you’ve become a slave to your own desires.
I’d rather serve God.
And love Him more.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” — Romans 8:28
