A Sunday afternoon of movie, friendship, and fun for our senior members
The Caleb Group hosted a special Movie Day on Sunday, September 6. Seniors gathered for an afternoon of entertainment and good company.
The event featured a screening of a powerful film based on a true story. Attendees found it both moving and a great excuse to enjoy a classic movie outing with friends.
The gathering is part of the Caleb Group’s ongoing work to enrich the lives of older adults in the church through regular programming built just for them.
“Our goal is to invest quality time in every elder who participates,” said a representative for the Caleb Group. “We want our senior members to feel valued, connected, and celebrated every time they walk through the door.”
Guests snacked on fresh popcorn and other light refreshments while they watched. Many said the atmosphere felt warm and uplifting, and they appreciated the chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
The Caleb Group plans to keep these gatherings going, with more activities ahead to support the health, friendships, and active lifestyles of its senior members.
